The Cataclysm expansion brings so much changes with it. Obviously the changes were Blizzard’s intentions to make the gaming experience much more full-filling and balanced. Nevertheless, I was one of those players who failed to excel right from the start of the expansion because there was just to much to take in at once. As it turned out, after complaining to my friends and at several forums, I realized I wasn’t alone. There were actually a lot of players whose progress was barred by the difference Catclysm presents in comparison to the Wrath of the Lich King expansion.
The worst part was that every time I caught a glimpse of a well-equipped level 85 character, I find myself getting all jealous and disappointed at the same time. That was when I decided to resort to getting a guide and got the Killer Guides Cataclysm guide; which is actually the very first game guide I every bought. As a general rule, I tend to prefer learning my way through a game. But believe me, as soon as I flicked through the first few pages, I realized just what I’ve been missing out on all those years.
I was so use to raiding in big groups in which tactics weren’t as important as quantity in Wrath of the Lich King, given the concept: the larger the raid group, the better the rewards. When all of a sudden size doesn’t matter any more in Cataclysm and a smaller sized raid group would get the same rewards, just less in quantity, I was baffled. I could no longer be just a small part of a big raid group. If I wanted to join raids and have any chance of getting my hands on those rewards, I really had to clean up my act. The raiding strategies in the guide was more than I could ever have hoped for. The same goes for the PvP and PvE tips and tactics that are described in detail.
Besides helping me out with raids, the strategies in the leveling section turned my poor performing character into a level 85 Mage in only a few days. I wasn’t exactly struggling with leveling up, but the strategies was a definite plus and got me leveling up surprisingly fast. I would highly recommend the guide to anyone struggling with leveling up. All the high experience-earning quests and the top leveling locations are described in detail in the Cataclysm guide.
To sum it up, I was leveling much faster, earning a lot more conquest and honor points, making heaps of gold and ofcourse, taking on raids like never before. The guide was definitely worth the buy and I would recommend it to just about anyone. A lot of the strateiges and tips shared by the writer are truly unique which caught me by surprise. Some are so simple, yet I have overlooked them. It’s amazing how the writer was able to come up with a collection of highly effective strategies that worked wonders for me into this one single Cataclysm guide.
